Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 April 2026 · Version 1.1

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on poliurs.com, why we use them, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember preferences (such as language), and provide information to the site's owner. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, SDKs) work in equivalent ways and are covered by this Policy.

2. The categories we use

We classify cookies into three categories. Essential cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them. Analytics and marketing cookies are activated only with your explicit consent.

2.1 Essential cookies — always on

2.2 Analytics cookies — consent required

Cookie / StorageProviderPurposeDuration
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.)Anonymously measures site usage: pages viewed, session duration, traffic sources14 months
_gidGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes users for analytics24 hours

2.3 Marketing cookies — consent required

Cookie / StorageProviderPurposeDuration
_gcl_auGoogle Ads (Google Ireland Ltd.)Measures ad performance and conversions3 months
li_sugr, bcookie, lidcLinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company)Measures campaign performance, enables LinkedIn retargeting3–12 months
__hssc, __hssrc, __hstc, hubspotutkHubSpot, Inc.Identifies returning visitors so the contact form pre-fills correctly; measures form-conversion attribution30 minutes – 13 months
Note on Google Consent Mode v2 Even when you decline analytics or marketing cookies, Google may receive aggregated, cookieless "ping" signals to support its measurement product. These signals contain no identifiers, no personal data, and cannot be linked back to you. You can prevent them entirely by declining consent — the absence of a ping is itself the most privacy-preserving setting.

3. Managing your preferences

You control which non-essential cookies are set, in three ways:

  1. The cookie banner shown on your first visit lets you accept all, accept only essentials, or customise per category.
  2. The "Cookie Settings" link in the footer reopens the banner at any time. Your choice replaces the previous one.
  3. Your browser settings can block or delete cookies entirely. Note: blocking essential cookies may break the site's functionality. Major browsers offer instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

4. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. The DNT specification is not recognised as a binding consent mechanism under EU law. Our site honours your explicit choice in the cookie banner, which takes precedence over any DNT signal.

5. International transfers

Some providers listed above (Google, HubSpot, LinkedIn) are based in or transfer data to the United States. These transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, and supplementary technical safeguards. Details are in our Privacy Policy, Section 5.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies, or when regulation changes. Material changes are communicated via the cookie banner so you can review and re-confirm your preferences.

7. Contact
